This week we celebrate Random Kindness Week from February 14, 2026 through February 20, 2026. Inspired by the mission of Random Acts of Kindness Foundation, this week invites us to slow down, look around, and intentionally brighten someone else’s day.

Kindness doesn’t have to be grand or expensive. It can be a sincere compliment, a handwritten note, or a helping hand.
“According to the American Psychological Association, studies have shown that acts of generosity not only benefit the recipients, but also boost happiness and well-being for the person offering kindness.”

Why Kindness Matters
In a world that can feel rushed and overwhelming, kindness creates connection. Research consistently shows that giving kindness boosts mood, reduces stress, and strengthens communities.
Kindness is also contagious. One thoughtful gesture can inspire another, creating a chain reaction that extends far beyond what we see.

Simple Ways to Practice Kindness This Week
Leave an encouraging note for a coworker or neighbor.
Pay for someone’s coffee or meal.
Send a message to someone you appreciate.
Volunteer your time locally.
Offer to help a neighbor with chores or errands.

Imagine communities where generosity, empathy, are the norm rather than the exception.
Random Kindness Week 2026 reminds us that kindness is not just something we give; it’s something we build into the culture of our homes, workplaces, and neighborhoods.
