National Give Something Away Day/Week is celebrated annually to inspire generosity, decluttering, and community support through acts of kindness, donations, and volunteerism.

Founded in 2015 by Linda Eaton Hall-Fulcher, the day encourages people to give away items, time, skills, or kindness to those in need.

National Give Something Away Day is an also an unofficial observance that encourages people to give away items they no longer need, to share time, skills, kindness, or resources with others.
Recognize: National Give Something Away Day:
● Donate clothes, books, or toys to charity.
● Give usable items to friends, neighbors, or community groups.
● Share food with someone in need.
● Volunteering time or offering a helpful skill.

Celebrate National Give Something Away Day
Clean out one closet or Drawer: donate gently used clothing, shoes, or accessories.
Create a "Blessing Box": Fill a small box or basket with toiletries, snacks, socks, or encouraging notes for someone in need.
Donate books: to schools, libraries, literacy programs, or neighborhood Little Free Libraries.
Celebrate National Give Something Away Day on Social Media.
