Better Conversation Week: Engage with Others

Better Conversation Week is usually celebrated during Thanksgiving Week, but GSSA has chosen to celebrate it all this week!

Founded by Lauren Eroth, Better Conversation Week encourages everyone to have more meaningful and open conversations with loved ones.

It seems in this digital age, we’ve lost the ability to truly engage and connect with anyone beyond our screens. Having face to face conversations “deepens relationships and forms connections where none previously existed. Throughout history, conversations have started and even ended full-scale wars, and when done right, they can transform our world for the better.”

How to celebrate Better Conversation Week

  • Communicate Face to Face: Make it a priority to have a face to face conversation with someone

  • Use Humor: Humor will help to break the ice and make the conversation memorable

  • Tell a Story: Tell a good story to someone within your conversation with them

  • Listen: Listen to someone and look directly into their eyes

5 Conversation Starters ( Questions)

  1. What did you think was cool when you were young but isn’t cool now?

  2. If you could have your own reality show, what would it be called?

  3. If you could have dinner with any person alive in the world, who would it be?

  4. What’s the best WIFI name you’ve ever seen?

  5. Would you like a world with magic in it?
