"Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up." Romans 15:2
US President George W. Bush signed a message declaring September 12 to be the National Day of Encouragement. But here at GSSA we’re suggesting that you do small acts of kindness all week long.
How to Celebrate National Day of Encouragement All week Long
Craft a handwritten letter or card to a friend or family member that is going through a tough time
Read and share encouraging and motivating quotes
Provide reassurance and inspiration to people around you
Give a High Five to someone for a job well done
Show your support by attending a friend’s performance, sporting or art exhibit
Encouragement offers several benefits to the receiver.
Encouragement can spark new energy in a goal that has languished.
Encouragement can also be beneficial to the giver.
Encouragement helps us be better role models.
How wonderful it is that nobody needs to wait a single moment before starting to improve the world. – Anne Frank
