National Be an Angel Day

“Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.” Lao Tzu

Today was founded by Jayne Howard Feldman in 1993 to encourage acts of kindness and also people who have been Angels to us.

We can be an Angel in small and big ways, from lending an ear to someone who’s having a rough day to offering someone to share a meal with us.

How to Observe National Be an Angel Day

  1. Offer an ear to listen and lift someone up

  2. Give patience to someone who truly needs it

  3. Hold someone’ s hand in their time of pain

How to Celebrate National Be an Angel Day

  1. Mow a neighbor’s lawn

  2. Watch your neighbor’s or family’s children

  3. Write a Thank you note to a loved one

  4. Volunteer

  5. Donate Clothing

A few other ways to celebrate National Be an Angel Day is to thank those who have made our lives better. A gesture of gratitude goes a long way! Use kind words to spread positivity on social media. Forgive someone who’s wronged you. Just take a minute, open your heart and truly forgive them.

Most importantly on this day, Pay it Forward:

  1. Pick up a tab for a stranger

  2. Buy coffee for the next person in line

  3. Leave a note and money on a Vending Machine
